Vršac i okolina su od davnih vremena poznati kao vinogradarski rejon. Ovo vinogorje zahvata znatan deo padina i podnožja Vršačkih planina. Vršačko vinogorje ima oko 2000 ha plantažnih vinograda, od čega je 1700ha u posedu «Vršačkih vinograda» AD. Najzastupljenija sorta je Italijanski rizling (preko 50%), a slede Rajnski rizling, Beli Burgundac, Šardone, Muskat otonel, Traminac, Kreaca, Smederevka, Župljanka, Šasla. Od crnih sorti uzgajaju se Frankovka i Muskat Hamburg. Ponos “Vršačkih vinograda” je svakako autohtona sorta Kreaca, priznata u celom svetu.
